"Nothing was too big an ask"

About: Ayr Crosshouse Hospital / Ayrshire Doctor on Call (ADOC) General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as a carer),

I wanted to highlight the amazing care my mother received from NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Specifically, Dr McGaughey, the district nurses and OOH nurses including the call handlers. The care received during this period was exceptional, each service provided a very prompt response and displayed compassion towards my mother and our family. 

Nothing was too big an ask and they allowed my mother to be comfortable at home with her family on her last days, which she would have wanted. 

We are very grateful of the support and care and wanted this to be highlighted and give a massive thanks to all involved from all of the family.

Firstly, please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mother. It is an extremely difficult time when we lose a loved one however I am heartened to hear that this difficult time was made somewhat easier by the amazing care and support your mother received in her final days.

I respond on behalf of Primary Care and it would be my pleasure to share your thanks with Dr McCaughey from your mother's GP Practice.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share the health care experience of your late mother. We always strive to provide person centred care in any situation. I am so very glad that your mother experienced this and was able to be comfortable at home with her family in her final days.

Please accept my best wishes to you and your family. Thank you once again for taking the time to post this lovely feedback.
