I recently had a bloods appointment at my GP surgery for 9.50. I got caught up at traffic lights and as I have disabilities and a plaster cast with sling on my arm it took me a few moments to get out the car.
I was checked in at 9.04 am, as verified by another patient with a mobile phone and the wall clock in the surgery. I was told I was too late and was turned away. I asked to speak to the manager and also asked if it could be in private. I was told neither was necessary.
I asked again and was seen by who I thought was the manager. I asked if the person was the manager and the person said yes. I have found out this person is not the manager.
I get regular bloods due to having a life limiting condition and liver disease but was turned away. I am very upset and angry about this. I got held up by things beyond my control by a few minutes and was turned away. I am post operative and it takes a lot of effort to get to the doctors surgery, but I feel like I just wasted my time.
