"My Gynae appt"

About: Gynaecology / Gynaecology Services Area 3

(as a service user),

I attended Ninewells gynaecology area 3 dept and without fail, the staff were amazing. I was very stressed as I was late for my appointment due to not being able to find a parking space - I was 15 minutes early for my appt but by the time I found a space (massive queues) I was 25 minutes late.

The receptionist was so kind in reassuring me and the specialist nurse, Kerrie who carried did the colposcopy and biopsy, along with another nurse - who’s name I’ve forgotten who were amazingly comforting, reassuring and expert and what they were doing, making the whole experience so much more bearable. They are an absolutely fantastic team and I am so grateful for their care. Please ensure that they get this feedback as I was so impressed with the service they provide

Please sort out the massive parking issue in the hospital

Ninewells Hospital can experience significant demand for parking, especially during peak periods, and I am sorry to hear that your visit to Ninewells and your car parking experience was not as you would have expected, and would like to apologise for any undue stress this may have caused you.

Demand for parking has increased following the removal of parking charges in 2021, as more and more patients, visitors and staff elect to bring their vehicles to site. We encourage wherever possible, the use of public transport, or for patients to be dropped off by a relative or friend to reduce the demand for parking but we fully appreciate that this option may not be feasible for those travelling from further afield, and who have no other option but to use their vehicle.

NHST is currently reviewing parking arrangements across the Ninewells site to support improved access for our patients and visitors and we welcome your feedback. We would also like to thank you for taking the time to write to us about your recent experience when visiting the Ninewells site which will be taken into consideration as part of our car park review.

Regards
