"Made the whole experience so much easier"

About: Northern General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Was in CDU after coming to A&E with severe abdominal pain and had been waiting for nearly 9 hours.

A health care assistant (I think that was his role) made the whole experience so much easier by being patient, kind and even making me laugh. He helped me right away when I said I was in pain and got the attention of nurses around to get me some pain relief.

He took time to ask me about university and talk to me like a human, even though I could tell how busy they were. It made the whole experience just that bit easier than it would've been and I'm very grateful.
