Late December I attended because of swollen foot, I am paralysed and in a wheelchair so I can’t feel my feet so I didn’t know if it was sore or not, the staff took a X-ray and I had a broken leg, they put me in a cast from heel to almost hips and was very difficult for the nurses to do this because I am in a wheelchair and I couldn’t go onto bed to have this done, the nurses worked so well together and got it all done, they were fantastic, never had better service than I received that day.
Recently I had to attend again, was my left foot this time, I couldn’t feel pain but was very swollen and darkness on skin and my district nurse advised me to attend minor injuries unit to have it checked, thankfully it isn’t broken, they did a X-ray and treated me so good, they said it’s badly bruised, this is a fantastic unit and I wish they could do longer hours and take some stress from Antrim a&e
"This is a fantastic unit"
