Unfortunately all the hype on the Chesterfield royal hospital Web page does not fit the experience.
I waited nearly a year for initial appointment, only to be looked up and down and asked about my weight. It seems like they didn't even read my records regarding this and treat me like I was deserving of their services.
Had an injection in the March after another long wait where the anaesthetist actually realised the extent of damage to my back which my weight had no bearing on at all and then had a review 3 months after during which I informed the nurse that it hadn't worked and i was really struggling with my work and have now had to resort to taking morphine.
OK we'll book a review..
I rang the hospital after not hearing anything for approximately 4-5 months only to be told that I had been put down for a routine? Follow up due in Dec.
Now in February and not heard a thing.
So in the two years since I was first referred I have been seen once in clinic and once on the ward .
Absolutely disgusting, I am trying my best to live my life ,work and it feels like they just Do Not Care. I understand that the NHS is struggling alot but come on at least treat your patients with a little more respect and dignity that they surely deserve.
