"My husband's admission and care after section"

About: Great Oaks Inpatient Unit / Laurel Ward

(as a relative),

My husband was sectioned for a month but stayed for longer.

At first I had very mixed feelings - relief that after 5 weeks of unpredictability he was finally going somewhere to be cared for. But also sorrow that things had come to this.

We found the staff to be caring, sympathetic and attentive. The MDT meetings we attended were positive, informative and highly reassuring, and we felt we were listened to.

Thank you for this feedback. I understand how distressing it can be to be in hospital, for those who are unwell but also for family members. It is really rewarding to hear that your experience was a positive one, and I will thank all of the staff on the ward.

Thank you again for taking the time to post this, it is much appreciated.
