"My upcoming hip replacement operation"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Prior to my upcoming hip replacement operation I was invited to attend Joint School at Cannock Chase Hospital. On arrival my Wife and I were made very welcome by Kirsty and Sian.

During the pre-operative eduction session they covered all aspects of a hip replacement operation from admission to discharge and physiotherapy. The detail was excellent and we found that the question and answer sessions very informative.

Every member of staff especially Kirsty and Sian were very kind and reassuring and we can’t thank them enough.

My Wife and I felt that the whole session covered everything that we needed to know and we were extremely glad that we attended and left with a positive attitude. We highly recommend the pre-operative eduction session and we are glad that we had the opportunity to attend. Well done The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

Kindest regards
