"My stroke and recovery steps"

About: Specialist Therapy Services / Community Stroke Team – South Notts

(as a service user),

I suffered a mild stroke the day before my 75th birthday in 2024 and then  had a second Stroke a fortnight later whilst in hospital. With the help of the stroke care team since moving home after 4 weeks of hospital care I can now independently walk around the house, up and down the stairs, get out in my mobility scooter and I am continuing to build strength and stamina through walking.

This is all through the help and support given to myself and family from the Physiotherapists, occupational therapists and dietician who came to visit me at home.
