About: WestMARC (Forth Valley) / Bioengineering Clinic

(as a service user),

I received leg prothesis at Westmarc, so had to learn to walk again. Staff excellent and prosthetics and Physiotherapists worked extremely well together and very good atmosphere. Extra classes on Pilates were very beneficial in improving my walking.

Very happy with support, advice and service, but two recent issues are:

- it is hard to get through to Prosthetics on the telephone especially in last week or two (had to give up after 15 minute and then 10 minute wait)

- there seems a very long delay in getting new leg sockets made (this has been the case before but especially in last few months).

It is great to hear that the staff are excellent and that you are happy with the support, advise and service.

Although, we are sorry to hear about the issues you have been encountering regarding the phone lines and the delays regarding new leg sockets. We understand your concerns regarding the delays in the provision of sockets and we are actively working to address these issues and improve our service delivery.
