"Mental Health Services- with GP"

About: Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust / Inpatient mental health care

(as a service user),

My experiences includes MHA section of 117. This has never been explained to me, and everytime I go to my GP or other doctor they only focus on my mental health and not my physical.

I am getting misdiagnosis and mistreatment from the health service that is supposed to be helping the patient recover. The GP care I have received over 55 years has always been too biased on Mental Health and not my physical care. Changes have to happen!

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) thanks the author of this comment for raising this issue.

It is important that we provide service users with accessible and informative resources that enable them to engage with resources available to them.

Although we are unable to respond to this individual’s experiences on this forum we do invite them to make contact through our Patients Advice Liaison Service office, (Freephone) 0800 585 544 available Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm where we would be confident that information is readily available to support their needs

Thanks for wasting my time in your reply.

In my opinion PALS are no use at all. This is also how this service user finds the Mental Health services.

Please don't use the standard reply again.
