My experience is not very good. Had so much treatment over the last twelve months with no resolution. I was seen firstly by Dr the Gastroenterologist and have had 3 MRI scans, a Colonoscopy and 2 seton and stich operations which involved overnight hosptal stays.
I have had courses of antibiotics and steriods. I am really not happy. For over a year now I have been in pain in the rectal area with inflamination also.I saw the surgeon two weeks ago again and she agreed the area is swollen and inflamed.I have tests and bowels are working fine, all functioning perfectly. All they want to do now is to remove the bowel and give me a bag. I don't want this and do not want to live with a bag. I am 74 and in so much pain I do not want to reach 75.This is affecting me physically and mentally.
