"Treatment over a year with no outcome"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Colorectal surgery & stoma care

(as the patient),

My experience is not very good.  Had so much treatment over the last twelve months with no resolution. I was seen firstly by Dr the Gastroenterologist and have had 3 MRI scans, a Colonoscopy and 2 seton and stich operations which involved overnight hosptal stays.

I have had courses of antibiotics and steriods.
I am really not happy.  For over a year now I have been in pain in the rectal area with inflamination also.
I saw the surgeon two weeks ago again and she agreed the area is swollen and inflamed.
I have tests and bowels are working fine, all functioning perfectly.
All they want to do now is to remove the bowel and give me a bag.  I don't want this and do not want to live with a bag.  I am 74 and in so much pain I do not want to reach 75.

This is affecting me physically and mentally.
