"Cardiac ambulatory unit, Craigavon Area Hospital"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Acute Cardiac Unit

(as a service user),

Was referred to cardiac ambulatory unit last year where I quite quickly received my diagnosis of PoTs. The Doctor (young gentleman, but unable to remember name) was really lovely and understanding about my situation, especially when very few other doctors cared to understand my symptoms and how they effect me on a daily basis. This doctor answered all questions I had and reassured me that despite many other professionals making me believe that my symptoms were due to anxiety, that what I am going through is very much a real condition. Getting seen quickly and being provided with the correct information and treatment, has allowed me as a nurse to remain in work caring for others in need.

Thank you to the cardiology team, you have helped change my life this past year!

Many thanks BMcC for taking time to share your positive experience in out ACU unit. I am pleased you have been able to remain in your nursing role. I will make sure to pass on your comments to the entire team.

Kind regards
