"Excellent nursing"

About: Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 2 (Emergency Surgical)

(as a friend),

My friend was discharged from AU2 today. I was with her through the discharge process. It must have been very frustrating for her as she was told this morning she’d be discharged today and was still there at 6.30. However Bobbie (nurse looking after her) was superb. There were a few hiccups due to medication but Bobbie had such a lovely manner explaining what was going on. I admired her empathetic, caring attitude and efficiency. As someone who works in the NHS it gave me immense pride that despite the pressures the hospital is under, we still have nurses who display excellent care to the patients.

Hi attendantk73

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback for Bobbie.

I am sorry to hear that the discharge process had a few hiccups and it took longer than expected. I am pleased that Bobbie dealt with this so well and kept you both informed.

I will pass this on to Bobbie, she will be thrilled to hear such great feedback.

I hope your friend is recovering well.

Best wishes

Lynsey
