My dad had chest pain around 6:30 pm at home we called ambulance who came after an hour, the staff were great and advised that they will take him to hospital for further test to be sure.
He was brought to hospital at 8pm and its 4:25 am and we are still waiting on doctor to see him .
The A&E is full and waiting time started from 4 hour to 9 hours and now it's 9 hours 30 mins.
He has pain in his legs and is on a very uncomfortable chair.
We understand NHS is short staffed and Forth Valley Hospital capacity is only 25 but has to deal with 100+ patients daily in A&E. They are trying their best, however I do feel management can play their part buy providing comfortable chair and seating area for old people or people who are sick. Also provide vending machine with sandwiches as that time at night none of the cafes are open .
They only have snacks and some people need proper food .
The door keeps opening and because it's very crowded patients on wheelchairs who are near the door are suffering very cold.
In my view, there are so many things management can do to make people's life easy and experience better .
Last year I was with my mum who had broken knee and we were here for 12 hours with no food and she was struggling to sit on chair for that long.
We wrote to complain and nothing happened .
