"Crisis teams unable to support patients properly"

About: Mental Health Resource Centres / North East Crisis Team

(as a service user),

I was in contact with the North East Crisis team for NHS GGC as an existing CMHT patient. They were unable to refer me for DBI intervention as they don't have access as a referral agency, which I find quite ridiculous and would be helpful for Crisis Teams to be able to refer patients who require this rather than waiting for them to access NHS 24 and MHAU.

NHS GGC need to look at this as it would allow patients to get the right support in the right place where they need support with their mental health for a few days but don't require a crisis team involved with them.

Dear GordonE1234

Thank you for getting in touch via Care Opinion. I am sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with your referral to DBI program. I have shared your feedback with the North East Crisis Team and they have asked if you can get in touch so that they can discuss this with you. If you can contact Sinead, the Crisis Team Lead on 0141 211 7000.

Kind Regards

Nicole
