About: Heartlands Hospital

Early in the morning my wife was unwell, so called 111 and they arranged for an ambulance to take her to hospital. The paramedics diagnosed a Heart attack and rushed us to Heartlands where someone was waiting to take us straight to the cardiology ward. My wife was re-examined by the consultant on duty and was rushed straight down to the theatre to have a stent fitted.

This was, from our call to 111 to finish, with stent fitted completed in less than 3 hours.

It cannot be denied that the absolute calmness and professionalism that everyone involved showed that day made sure that my wife is now recovering well.

We are all extremely grateful - thanks to all involved.
