"Excellent Care"

I am a type 1 diabetic and was cared for by Dr Cooke during my pregnancy. She is an incredible doctor. She is very kind, takes no prisoners (for my own good!) and sees you as a woman, not just a baby maker.

I put myself under unmeasurable pressure to be a good diabetic, I felt I had no control of anything in life and I did not feel like myself. I had no joy at this long wanted baby growing healthily inside of me.

Dr Cooke saw through my smiles and got me the help I didn’t realise I needed. Dr Cooke gave me and my baby excellent care throughout my pregnancy. Her expertise was evident throughout my care and I appreciated how she took the time to explain things to my husband and I.

I had never experienced depression before, I hated the baby inside of me, I had no joy. She helped me through my antenatal depression to end up in love with my healthy baby boy. I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, I thought I would never love my baby, Dr Cooke guided me through the tunnel and the love I have for my baby boy is indescribable.

I was truly blessed to have Dr Cooke as my doctor. Thank you Dr Cooke for all you did for me. Words will never be able to convey how thankful we are for your skill, empathy and wit! Dr Cooke is an excellent doctor and an amazing advocate for women.
