I recently had an accident while at work, I undid a pipe and didn't realise it was under pressure and it hit me under my chin. I don't remember much about the accident, but the ambulance staff/paramedics were amazing.

I was taken to York hospital A&E where the nurses and doctors did a brilliant job at sorting me out and reassuring me everything was going to be okay, even though I was still in the land of the fairies. I only got one nurse's name, and her name was Rose. Very polite and funny.

Also the Maxillofacial team were great at explaining everything to me in simple terms before I was discharged.

A week later I returned to York Maxillofacial clinic for a check up . Very  professional and understanding and again explaining to me about my jaw injuries . I has patient transport services to and from the appointment,  both drivers were very professional, friendly and chatty.

I couldn't praise Yorkshire ambulance service, York hospital and Patient transport services enough.  Thank you everyone.

Dear Man with a Saw Chin and Jaw,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear that you received excellent care from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, A&E team, Maxillofacial team, and Patient Transport Services during and after your accident.

It is wonderful to know that the paramedics and ambulance staff provided you with such prompt and reassuring care. We will ensure that your kind words are passed on to the A&E team, including Nurse Rose, whose professionalism and humour made a difference to your experience.

We are also pleased that the Maxillofacial team took the time to explain your treatment clearly and supported you through both your initial care and follow-up appointment.

Your appreciation will mean a great deal to all the teams involved, and we are grateful for your kind words. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

Best regards,
Patient Experience Team
