"Understanding of the problem and I felt comfortable"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Occupational Therapy The Ulster Hospital / Ward 11 (Rheumatology)

(as the patient),

I was referred to the Ulster Hospital Rheumatology Occupational Therapy Department for assessment , treatment and exercises on both my hands to ease the pain due to changing shape of my knuckles. The Therapist, Hope, was understanding of the problem and I felt comfortable enough to ask her questions. I now have exercises, compression gloves and leaflets with diagrams to keep me on the right track. Hope also had a catalogue of aids to purchase from several sources which she had compiled herself and is extremely helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story of your recent experience at Rheumatology Occupational Therapy at the Ulster Hospital. It is lovely to hear that you had such a positive experience of the service and of the care received by your Occupational Therapist, Hope. I will pass your story onto her and her Team and Manager to make them aware of this feedback.

kind regards
