"Positive birth story"

About: Maternity Care / Labour Ward Mental Health Services / Perinatal Mental Health Team University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care

(as a service user),

I wanted to formally thank the lovely 3 midwives who were involved in the birth of my daughter.

I previously suffered a traumatic birth and as a consequence was supported by the NMPI team who supported me in my birth plan.

The midwives involved in my care were respectful, fun, supportive, encouraging, caring and empowering. They respected my wishes throughout and helped to uphold my birth preferences and plan.

Through their kindness, they helped me to recover from previous birth and enabled me to enjoy this birth experience. They will always be remembered.

Thank you to Elle (triage), Amanda (Nightshift) and Lauren.

Dear Kelly227,

Thank you for sharing your wonderful birth story and congratulations on the birth of your baby.

I am delighted to hear that following your previous traumatic birth you were fully supported by Amanda, Lauren and Elle and they ensured that your birth plan and wishes were upheld. I can only imagine how much of a relief it must have been for you.

I look forward to sharing your kind words with your 3 midwives and the whole team who I am sure will be delighted to hear your feedback and get a real boost from it.

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
