"The whole department were very professional"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as the patient),

After a traumatic prep, I entered the suite, expecting something akin to medieval torture. The staff welcomed me with help and encouragement. The Doctor who would carry out both procedures (endoscopy and colonoscopy) was  great, a true professional. He knew I was going to be awake all the way through.

Throughout both  procedures  I was praised, encouraged and helped. Both procedures involved pain but with the staff working with me and ample gulps of gas and air, my Doctor removed polyps, viewed diverticulii   and  finally finished the procedures. I saw a bit of procedure on monitors including  removing polyp.

The post operation treatment was humane  and much humour between staff and patients lifted wilting spirits. Adrenalin levels returned to normal.

In conclusion the whole department were very professional and I commend all of them from Doctors to clerks  as the best of the best Thank you.
