I had had a stomach bug for a few days and then on Thursday night I had chest and back pain and then started vomiting extensively. My wife phoned the emergency services for an ambulance but was told it could be 1 1/2 hours, about 30 minutes later they called back to say it was more likely to be about 3 hours so we contacted our Niece to take us as my wife doesn’t drive.
When we got to the hospital we was taken straight through to a nurse who took blood samples and checked my blood pressure and oxygen level, I was then taken to the Fit to Sit room where more nurses fitted an IV drip and gave me pain relief. Although they were extremely busy they were very attentive and very friendly, after a few hours the Doctor called me in to a cubicle for an examination he got the results of my blood test and explained what had happened.
I can’t put into words how fantastic all the staff were from the receptionists to the nurses and doctor even the cleaning lady was extremely helpful and friendly.
What a fantastic Hospital, a huge thank you to all the staff at Hereford Hospital.
