"It was a waste of time"

Arrived at A&E after being sent from Minor Injuries at Stirling. Arrived at 10.40am. Got an ECG approx half an hour later. I was in pain as no pain relief taken. The place was already busy.

I noticed on the screen that the waiting time was 12.5 hours (so much for the 4 hour target). Had to get someone to bring in some food as i didn't want to leave area in case I was called. Vending machines there but snacks only. I then sat for over 7 hours with no sign of being called.

I have family carer duties so very reluctantly at that point I had to leave the A&E in the same state I had arrived all those hours earlier. Told reception I was going and got back a simple OK. They've probably heard people leaving so many times before. It was a waste of time.
