"To have this level of community support was invaluable"

About: Integrated Community Services Service Delivery Unit / Malvern Neighbourhood Team

(as the patient),

Over a period of 9 months, the team provided post operative support following my cancer diagnosis.  Their expertise, professionalism, compassion, cheeriness and above all kindness during some of our darkest and frightening times pulled my wife and I, through.

They were always there, day and night, and whichever member of staff I saw, were always aware of my medical condition, and able to treat accordingly. I couldn't have managed without them - their knowledge and advice reassured me at all times.  The fact that treatment was carried out locally helped enormously. Not having to go to a hospital, in another town, saved me additional stress and worry. I believe this aided my recovery. To have this level of community support was invaluable.
