"They were absolutely brilliant"

About: Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust / Droitwich, Ombersley and the Rurals Neighbourhood Mental Health  Team New Haven Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Services / Hospital at Home

(as a service user),

In 2020, we lost our only daughter, she had breast cancer. I will never get over it and it is with me day in and day out, it was over Christmas she passed so the Christmas period is not good for me.

In 2024 I started to feel anxious and lost my sleep and was getting so many panic attacks.

It got so bad and no one was listening, it went on for weeks, I felt so alone, so I attempted to end my life three times.

I was, after a few days in hospital, sent to new Haven Bromsgrove, after five weeks I was released. They were absolutely brilliant there, I was so pleased that I felt better. I had the hospital at home team visit for three weeks and then my mental health nurse has visited. She comes now once a month and I'm not looking forward to her not coming at all.

I try not to think about what happened as it frightens me, I don't want to be in that state again.
