"We received great care throughout our stay"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I was booked for a planned C-section, after a difficult surgery with a few complications and a lot of blood loss.

The staff always remind calm and supportive the surgery team was amazing especially the surgeons and anaesthetist who talked me through everything that was going on and kept me calm. I had a lovely midwife Fiona care for me in the recovery bay overnight, she was kind, sympathetic and extremely attentive during such a scary time for both me and my husband.

Even during extreme pain she was there to help me and get the correct member of staff to help ease the pain quickly. Not only did she look after me, my daughter but she was also extremely supportive to my husband during a very scary time.

We received great care throughout our stay with all doctors and midwives being available to help when needed.

Dear Vanessa2603

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.. I will share your words of appreciation with the teams involved in the birth of your daughter. I am delighted to hear that the staff who cared for you did so in a calm and reassuring manner. Thank you for acknowledging how quickly Fiona was able to address your pain and the support she offered your husband and daughter at that time.

I hope you have made a full recovery from your caesarean section and thank you once again for taking the time to post this lovely feedback.

Kinde Regards

Sarah
