I would like to thank all the wonderful staff at the Centre for Women’s Health at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital who helped to safely delivery my baby boy, Charlie, into the world in December 2024. The care we received was exceptional and everyone I came into contact with was kind, reassuring and compassionate. Everything was explained so well to me with the risks and benefits of every intervention and the staff were so encouraging and supportive.
I was admitted the previous evening for an induction and although things developed quickly, the midwives and doctors quick actions and following of their protocols meant no harm came to my baby boy and I. My husband and I cannot fully express how grateful we are for the care given to all of us.
The staff I can remember are Caroline the midwife on the antenatal ward, Sophie the midwife who let me squeeze her hand and gave me all the encouragement during delivery, Dr Sarah who made all the right decision and supported me, Kimberly the midwife and Jess the Student Midwife who cared for me after and showed me what true care and dignity is and Dr Anshruta who gave me all the time, care and information to make the right decisions for us.
Thank you so much.
