"First thing I'm always asked is about my age"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I’m still waiting on my results from my biopsy, was told results would be in 3 weeks, now being told 4 weeks. I had an appointment to Hairmyres with gynaecologist at 4.10pm  then it was changed to 3.45 pm same day, I rang them to check the time and was told I’m not on the list for an appointment, now I’ve been removed. I have never received any letter to let me know or to tell me why I’ve been waiting over 3 years to get my problem sorted, they say they are going to remove by ovaries and fallopian tubes, no idea when, it’s making me think it’s not a priority because of my age, as they keep mentioning I’m in my 70s.

Have been waiting over 3 years to get this sorted. Now I’ve been told the biopsy will take 4 weeks for the results. I have psychiatric arthritis, haven’t had an appointment for 12 months. Apparently, my blood count is through the roof for my liver due to medications that I’ve been on for years. Last appointment I had, I was sent for an X-ray and was told I have osteoarthritis, which I was again referred to that department for. Was sent a form to fill in, which I did 12 months ago, and have not heard anything back from them. First thing I'm always asked is about my age.

This is just not good enough. We are just being ignored.
