"It was a very positive experience"

About: Dementia and Older Persons Mental Health

(as the patient),

I very impressed by the professional nurse visits. I did not know what to expect from a mental health/memory team assessment.

It was a very positive experience. Both nurses on different occasions were very patient and kind and it did not feel like I was being tested. I was pleased to have facts about the brain and dementia explained in a way I could understand.

A couple of the facts have got a bit scrambled but that could have been me not being clear enough.

However the wait from my referral and first phone call to seeing someone was about 4/5 months which isn't really good enough.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience, which I am pleased was a positive one. I apologise that you had to wait for a longer than expected time, this is something that we are working on.
