"Mum’s hospital stay"

About: Glenrothes Hospital / Assessment and Rehab Centre Glenrothes Hospital / Rehabilitation & Recovery

(as a relative),

It’s been a long 14 months, last January mum fell twice in one weekend, breaking her wrist then hip, was in hospital for nearly 3 months.

She has vascular dementia, but came home in April, stayed at home with dad and myself popping in and out, November she was admitted for 10 days home for 2 weeks and back in to the Victoria hospital again , mum got transferred to Glenrothes hospital, initially ward 2 then moved to ward one as we as a family decided it would not be in anyone’s best interest to have her home .

Ward 1 has been fantastic for mum , the staff are great , some of them are really friendly and give mum a great laugh , which we love to see , as a family we really appreciate the efforts and support from all the staff in the ward , you have definitely improved mum's quality of life, can’t Thankyou enough

Dear Elizabeth573,

Thank you for taking the time to post such positive feedback about your mum's stay in ward 1 Glenrothes hospital. Your family have been on a difficult journey over the past year and a half and Frances and her team are proud to have help support you all. Providing laughter and improving someone's quality of life means a great deal to the team.

I hope your mum has settled well into her new home and that you and all of your family are well.

Kim
