"Surgery to my left eye"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

In February 2025, I was booked at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to have laser surgery on my left eye because the lens had become extremely cloudy over the course of a year. It had become so bad that I had difficulty seeing the actual chart, let alone read any of the letters - even the largest at the top with my left eye. This tended to make me anxious and irritated as I went about normal daily life and I was fearful that it might prevent me driving eventually.

The surgeon, Mr Munneke, explained the process and carried out the procedure expertly and I am now able to see clearly again. This is a great relief and I would like him to know how thankful I am for his care and skill!

Dear conditionerhq98,

Thank you for your kind words and positive feedback. We are pleased to hear that your vision has improved following laser treatment and that the procedure that you had with Mr Munneke went well.

Thanks again for taking the time to share this with us.
