"Given incentive and encouraged to achieve my goal"

I received support from Inclusion in the past. I had various different recovery workers which made it difficult to build a professional rapport.

Previously my recovery sessions were infrequent, there was no structure to the sessions and no goals set for me to achieve around my alcohol use.

I have recently received support from Jim who had a different approach.

Jim delivered weekly structured, more intense support, gave me an incentive and encouraged me to achieve my goal.

Jim held me accountable, was a good listener and also supported me with other situations which weren't related to my drinking, he set achievable weekly goals which supported me achieve my end goal. It would have been nice to have had a couple of further sessions around relapse prevention.

I believe that if I had received this type of support in the past, my recovery journey may not have been so long and I would have achieved my goal sooner.
