"My care was absolutely first class"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

I was recently booked in for the rather unpleasant experience of a Colonoscopy. This is the second time I’ve had one and my care was absolutely first class.

The team were kind, jolly and friendly. It’s obviously an embarrassing experience for most of us but the clinical approach does put you at your ease.

Lovely care from each person- starting with a friendly receptionist, a kind nurse taking bloods and wonderful consultant/nursing team in the room.

They also explained everything in a non-technical way for a non medic which was appreciated.

The follow up care was great too (tea and toast very much appreciated as well!) Thank you all.

Dear saturn xp97

Thank you for your very kind words regarding your recent visit to our Regional Endoscopy Unit.

I am so glad you found the staff jolly and friendly which helped you through your procedure and we appreciate what you mentioned, it can be an embarrassing situation but it was nice to hear that our staff explained everything to you and reassured you throughout. And I agree, the tea and toast waiting at the end is most enjoyable.

I will pass on your nice complements to the team.

yours sincerely

Yvonne Bernard
