"Great care and lovely staff"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Surgical Elective Unit Antrim Area Hospital / Theatres

(as a service user),

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the staff in the surgical elective unit. After surgery one feels quite vulnerable however the care I received from admission to theatre to their unit was outstanding. We had lovely Jemma and student Molly in the morning who were so professional and informative.

Theatre was a blur but all staff were wonderful here. And in post operation, Donna and Hannah were wonderful. I was surprised to find out student Hannah was only first year and first placement - she was a natural with her bedside care, ensured I had what I needed and was not in pain. And made me some lovely tea and toast which I most appreciated! She is a credit to her university.

I truly cannot thank everyone enough. I hope I have got names correct also. There were so many staff I cannot remember them all especially during surgery and after it but they were all brilliant. We hear so much negativity about the NHS and I cannot fault the care I received

Thank you so much
