"They were so gentle and caring"

About: Dungannon / District Nursing

(as a relative),

My husband was under Palliative Care and the District Nurses for a couple of weeks before he passed away.  The District Nurses knew him as he had previously attended them to get bloods taken and his PICC line checked and dressed. When Cathy or Rachel called to the house they not only cared for my husband but myself too.

They made sure I understood everything going on and explained everything in a way in which I could understand. They were so gentle and caring when nursing my husband and certainly made me feel a lot more at ease and relaxed knowing he was getting the best care as if they were caring for their own family.

I know that they certainly eased everything for me and made it so much easier when he passed away knowing that all that could be done for him had been done.

Dear Jayne68, please accept my condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.

On behalf of District Nursing in Dungannon, I would like to thank you for your kind words about our team and particularly in relation to Cathy and Rachel. It is important for us to receive feedback to ensure we are providing a quality service and we appreciate you taking time to write to us.

I will ensure that your feedback is passed on to the District Nursing Team who I know will be very appreciative of this feedback.

With best wishes

Tanya
