About: Pinderfields General Hospital

I came to pinderfields today as I was advised by my GP. I was in a car accident last Friday 14/03/2025 and have been left with blurred vision, headache and stabbing pains in my neck, shoulder and uncomfortable pain in my mid back and lower baxk region. I was advised by my GP that I needed scans and needed to go to A&E. Upon my arrival at A&E, the triage nurse completely disregarded the pains in my neck, shoulder and back, and also refused to do any scans. He just said it was whiplash and to take paracetamol. I feel I wasn’t given the right care and I’m extremely disappointed with the service

Dear Savo

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent visit to our Emergency Department.

I am sorry to read of the events you have described and that you have been left feeling extremely disappointed with the service. This is not what we would want for any of our patients to experience and for that I am really sorry.

I will share your feedback with the team as it is really important we learn from our patient's experiences.

Thank you again for your feedback and I hope you are recovering well from your car accident. However if you are still feeling some discomfort, please do visit your GP practice.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn

(Head of Patient Experience)
