I was recently admitted into AU1 - Assessment Unit and have been transferred up to another ward. I have to give credit where credit is due. I cannot fault the staff I encountered one bit.
As a medical professional myself it can actually feel a bit weird and scary being the patient. However, I needn't have worried. I cannot remember the Dr I initially saw but she was very, thorough, caring and listened to my difficulties.
Throughout the night I was cared for by Shaun, Sinead and Lesley Ann who never stopped but still made time for me when needed. I was made to feel very welcome and cared for and Shaun certainly gave me a wee chuckle with his sense of humour which was exactly what I was needing at that point.
The next morning both Jackie and Chloe were caring for me and again they were both just as attentive and made me feel calm and respected at all times. Such an amazing and professional bunch of staff who I am very appreciative of for taking such good care of me despite the fact they were 100% run off their feet by the constant flow of patient changeover!
Thanks you so much guys!
