"Compassionate care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Vascular Surgery (Ward 8)

(as a relative),

As a family we wanted to feedback about the compassionate and thoughtful care that our father received in the last week of his life in Ward 8 at University Hospital Hairmyres.

We thank you for not giving up despite his prognosis and for keeping us informed throughout. You gave us all of the time and space we needed to be with dad particularly on his last day. We wanted to thank the whole team but in particular Nicky, Pamela and student nurse Michelle.

You not only supported dad, but us as his family too. Huge thank you to you all.

Dear elephantmz39,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Hairmyres, Vascular Surgery.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your dad.

I am pleased to hear that the staff kept you informed and ensured you and your family got the valuable time that you needed with your dad. I am glad that not only did your dad get support, but also his family. I am sure this was a great reassurance during such a difficult time for you all.

I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the whole team, especially Nicky, Pamela and Michelle, who I am sure will get a real boost in hearing your feedback.

Sending warm wishes to you all.

Jenni
