Stomach pain

About: Causeway Hospital / Causeway Surgical Ambulatory Unit (CSAU)

(as the patient),

I have had stomach pain for past week now, still unfortunately hasn’t gotten any better 

But I couldn’t fault the senior doctor at all he was a good help and fought hard to get me a CT scan and kept me updated on everything that was happening, 

The Nurse that was also there I believe her name is Judith, she took my bloods, blood pressure ext, she also reassured me after a problem with one of the blood tubes that all was okay, Judith brought me tea and toast when I was aloud to eat again after fasting before the blood tests and also was very friendly to myself and the other patients in the ward. The care was second to none from Judith and the doctor 👍

Dear MVRFC,

Many thanks for taking the time to share this positive feedback,

My name is Anne Dooey, I am the ward manager on Surgical One & CSAU, Causeway Hospital,

I am sorry to hear that you had been unwell recently & had to attend the department for tests, the unit you received your treatment in is CSAU.

CSAU is an Ambulatory unit, which was opened in February 2024, the aim of the unit is to deliver a high quality of care to our service users, without having the need for admission in to a Surgical bed, Our Patients receive same day Emergency care, the unit currently opens from 9 am to 5pm, Monday to Friday,

I hope you have recovered to full health, following his recent attendance to CSAU.

Again – many thanks for your positive feedback, our staff in the unit endeavour to deliver a high standard of care to all our patients, I will ensure that Judith & the Doctors in the unit are informed of your positive experience.
