"Couldn’t have asked for a better response"

About: Community Therapy Services / Nottingham West Community Therapy

(as a friend),

My friend who is 102 fell and needed to go into immediate respite care. However, her wish was to return home to her independence and the community therapy service provided advice and support in achieving this.

We had advice re my friends general health and how to maintain it. Also, her flat was checked for any mobility issues and aids required and she was visited by a physiotherapist and given advice on movement.

Everyone that visited my friend was kind, patient and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better response.

My only negative comment would be that she wasn’t given any written advice/exercises etc which would have been ideal given her level of dementia means that she doesn’t remember fully everything she is told and a paper reference would have been ideal.

Thank you for your feedback in relation to your friends treatment.

It is lovely to hear that your friend was able to return home with the help, advice and equipment provided from our service.

Thank you for the comment around written advice/exercises this is something we would usually provide-I have informed the team so we can take this forward to ensure we are providing written exercise sheets/programmes for patients as well as going though these verbally.

Thanks
