"Antenatal Care"

About: Leith Community Treatment Centre / Midwifery

(as a service user),

My first pregnancy in June 2020 marked the beginning of antenatal care from the Leith Midwifery team.

Joan has been my midwife for all 3 of my pregnancies and I have had dealings with other midwives as well and I just wanted to say the commitment to care and level of support given by the midwives does not go unnoticed - especially Joan who has seen me over the years go on to have empowering water births with all 3 of my babies. I truly believe the antenatal care and support I received is a huge factor in the outcome of my births.

I wanted to make this post now a week postpartum to thank the Leith midwifery team for being so kind and supportive over the years and as I’ve moved from the area now I found it important to leave a story regarding my experience.

Thank you for everything.

Dear Bee M,

Thank you for sharing your experience of the Midwifery service at Leith Community Centre with us on Care Opinion.

It was lovely to read that Joan has been able to support you through your three pregnancies, alongside other midwifes, and that you were shown such care and support. I am so pleased you were then able to go onto have such empowering water births with your three babies.

I have shared your story with the management team for this service who I am sure will be delighted to read your story.

I hope you are enjoying your time with your new baby and other children.

Best wishes,

Claire
