"Waiting time in A&E"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was taken through triage about an hour after arriving at the hospital, 6 hours later we were still waiting to be seen again.

I feel this is not good enough for our nhs, it is stretched way beyond repair

Dear Raging parent

Thank you for sharing your experience in University Hospital Wishaw, Emergency Department.

I am sorry to hear that your daughter was unwell and needed to attend our emergency department. It must have been a worrying time for you both, which I am sure will not have been helped by the long wait to be seen. Unfortunately our services are under immense pressure and waiting times are longer than expected. Please be assured that we are always looking for ways to improve this for our patients and indeed take concerns from our patients and their relatives very serviously.

I hope that your daughter is feeling better.

Best Wishes

Faith
