(as a service user),

I attended the Stafford sexual health clinic today and had several tests conducted today to check for STDs and the woman who was doing the procedures was named Terri, she talked me through everything. Made me feel so comfortable and calm. I explained I am anxious about needles and she offered for someone to come in and speak to me while she takes my blood. We got chatting about other things that make me anxious and asked if I had tried talk therapy and spoke me through how I could access that.

For something that is usually an embarrassing and for some a feeling of shame, I truly felt cared for and looked after.
