"Care that I received while being in hospital"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as a service user),

I had fallen and fractured the top of my spine. It took 10 days for it to be diagnosed. I was very lucky, as I was talking about during this time in such pain. I ended up having an operation to fix it. During this time, I was anxious, terrified, and confused. I am home now, with a neck brace on for 6 weeks.

What I would like to say is a big thank you to all the staff in both the hospital as they made me feel at ease and nothing was too much bother for them. When I was in the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, my care givers were amazing, and they are Nurse: Niamh NA: Claire and Student Ellie.  Hospital staff never get the recognition that they deserve. Thanks to everyone from the bottom of my heart.
