"Exceptional practice"

About: Lawrence Hill Health Centre

Last year, after a referral back to my GP from the hospital, I felt disheartened. I questioned whether it was even worth following up, after all I had just left A&E with medication that only masked my symptoms. But deep down, I knew I needed to get to the root of the problem.

During a telephone consultation, the doctor reassured me that they would do everything possible to help, but it would be a process of elimination. That process led to a life changing diagnosis: cancer. Navigating treatment was overwhelming, and as a result, I was forced into early menopause. Confused and uncertain, I turned to my GP once again.

As always, the team at Lawrence Hill Health Centre provided fantastic advice. They made me feel safe, and genuinely cared for. At my in person appointment, every staff member I encountered was kind, patient, and took the time to address my concerns. They went over information carefully, ensuring I fully understood my situation and options.

The level of holistic care at this surgery is rare. They treat patients as individuals, not just symptoms. I cannot overstate how much that means, especially during such a difficult time in my life. I never want to leave this practice. It’s a place where I feel truly supported in every aspect of my health.
