"Everything has been fine"

About: Cancer Services / Ward 32 Oncology Clinics (outpatients)

(as a service user),

Everything has been fine. Since they found out, they have been doing well - all Doctors and nurses.

If something does not feel right, you can always phone: I have not had any problems they try to help you.

When you find out, the worst thing is waiting before your treatment starts. If I could change anything it will be "timescales" across NHS

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and experience attending the oncology department.

By way of introduction, I am the senior nurse within the oncology department.

Waiting for treatment to start is always a worrying time, I am glad that you have found our team supportive, and that you feel secure knowing that if you have any concerns that they are only a phone call away.

I note from your feedback that you have found the "timescales " across NHS, an area requiring improvement.If you would like to share your contact details with the Patient Experience Team (tay.feedback@nhs.scot) at a time that is convenient for you, then we would be happy to contact you to discuss further and find out more about your personal experience. Alternatively you can approach a member of staff, who can direct you to senior member of the nursing team or myself to discuss. Feedback is really important to us as allows us to improve the service we deliver.
