"Early scan"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward C2 Maternity care

(as a service user),

I recently had an early scan. A member of staff made it known it would be an internal scan, when I showed slightly distressed about this they rolled their eyes and told me well if I don’t have this scan now I will have to come back, fairly abruptly.

Let it be it be known I’ve had two previous losses very recently. This is not acceptable. In this type of job regardless of your opinion, you must have compassion. I hope this will be passed on.

The member of staff in reception was absolutely lovely, it’s a shame one Individual has tainted my experience. I understand people have bad days etc but in this profession it can not be brought into work, you are dealing with a very sensitive time in people’s lives.
