"Diabolical parking and two outpatient appointments"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I had the unfortunate experience of attending an outpatient appointment not once but twice within a matter of weeks. Firstly, I must comment on the appalling example of a carpark. A lack of spaces and the disabled areas were unmanned and everyone and their dog were parking there, an amount without badges. On both occasions where I had appointments in the general outpatients area they were both running late. Mostly what one would expect in these times so not too much of an issue. My first appointment seem to run smoothly but the second it seem to be run by staff who did not know what they were doing. A lack of common sense and courtesy from when they got me from the waiting area. They called my name and then the room where they needed to take my height and weight, it was busy and they took me to another and that was busy too. They should check prior to collecting if it was free as had to stand waiting and my legs were not willing. I tried to make small conversation with the nurse but she wasn't at all interested and when I asked her how long she had worked here she was rude and said it is none of my business. I maybe thought if she was new she didn't yet have the natural skills of care so could be forgiven for a lack of common talk. She was more interested in checking her mobile phone. Saw the Dr pretty much on time and the gentleman was a delight and very old school. He explained things clearly and put my mind at ease explaining what would happen next.
