"Excellent care"

About: District Nursing / Dundee Enhanced Care at Home Team (DECAHT)

(as a service user),

I was referred by the GP to the day clinic in Dundee as very anaemic and required and IV infusion. As I was becoming increasingly tired, I called to find out when an appointment would be allocated and was supported by the nurse who identified my need to be seen quickly.

By the next working day a consultant and registrar contacted me and visited me at home to assess me. They were exceptional, professional, provided person centred care for me. They couldn't have been better, polite, interested.

A blood transfusion and IV infusions were arranged at the day clinic and I was kept updated by the DECAHT team along the way. Such an impressive service  the community definitely need and benefit from. Am grateful for them helping me after a long time feeling so bad.

Can't thank them enough for their brilliant care and my family are delighted and less worried as a result of me being looked after so well.
